| I have been bow hunting for a while and consider myself a pretty good shot. I have be given the opertunity to hunt a small strip of land that is bordered by a highway on one side and a nice neighborhood on the other. It is about 150 to 200 yds wide. Today I was all set in my stand and had deer walk right under me. I was reluctant to take the shot, so I let them pass. There has been very few cases that I have shot a deer with a bow does it drop right away. I don't want the deer running across the highway or to the neighborhood to die. Discussing this with my friend he suggested a neck shot to drop the deer righ away. Any experience with this?? Does it work everytime? |

| I've been bow hunting for 30+ years one of the worst shot placements for archery equipment is a neck shot. A deer that is double lunged rarely travels more than 60 yards. |
