I have been hunting Axis deer here on Maui for about a year noe with my Ruger Frontier chambered in 7mm-08 rem. I have been using 139 gr. SST hornady light mag. ammo. All of the deer That i have shot dropped on the first shot and I have even shot 2 deer with 1 bullet. To me the Frontier is the ultimate deer rifle for hawaii. Does anyone else here in hawaii have a Frontier rifle ? How do you like it? I am a new member to this forum and I hope that there are others out there from Hawaii. Hope to hear from you soon.
