| I would like to know what fishing gear you guys use for fishing because when i fish, i don't really catch anything, i think it's because i'm using the wrong fishing gear. Can anyone give me any tips? |

| a bamboo stick, a bit of string, a hook and a bit of bread(also bringing a plastic bag is reccomended) |

| A normal pole and either bread or worms. I have heard that if you throw cat or dog feed(can't rember which) into the area you are going to be fishing in for a couple of days, the fish will bit more. I think this is for catfish... I don't know about others. |

| IO cant remember the make of our rods, ill dig them out soon, havent been fishing in years so im kinda rusty, Be we used to use everything we could get our hands on for bait, Was lots of fun. |

| I've always used a regular rod and reel, nothing specific, with a fly for the hook, and just tralled (sp?) the water slowly and waited for them to bite. That method worked pretty good. I have seen people do well with a bamboo pole and a string, so I can't say that it doesn't work. Course nowadays people use all kinds of electronic sonars and stuff. But I think that takes the sport out of it. After all, you got the give the fish a fighting chance, eh? |

| Senior Member | i use whats called down her a "dabbler". a 16 foot black widow fiberglass pole, a 1 foot steel leader, a trebel hook and a 3 inch square peice of old white underwear.deadly on bass and jack....guarrenteed. |
