Default loss of a great guide

I am sorry to tell the hunting world that Billy Jack Young has past on just a couple of days ago. He fought a tough battle with spinal cancer, he fought for several years and actually guided for dal sheep last fall while suffering from bone cancer. I believe he was only 30 to 32 years of age but he truly lived every day that was given to him.

I personally only new and worked with Billy for a few days but in that time I learned just how tough he is and how well he could adapt to any hunter that was thrown at him. When I met Billy he succesfully guided to a dal sheep and moose while back packing with a cathader strapped to his leg.

I don't know why I am writing this, but I hope that anyone that had the privelage of hunting with Billy knows that they were hunting with a true ledgend to the guide world that only got to show part of his true potential. I would hope that all of you fellow sportsmen out there will not let any opportunities pass saying you will do it next year, because you may never see another season, but I pray we all will.

Thanks for reading this and may Billy watch over all of our hunts this fall.
