|  What is the best method for attracting elk? Do you use sounds or smell? It would seem to me that the elk would get a bit smarter as time goes on not to be so quick to answer a bull elk call that doesn't sound right to them. They are intelligent animals and learn with their surroundings. |

| As for best method i cant say say. my best method is preseason scouting to put you inthe best situation for elk.A few years ago i stopped a nice 5by6 bull witch my brother quickly claimed,with soft mewing on a cow call.Wind in our faces helped alot im sure. |
