| I use a 30.06 when I go elk hunting and a 7mm when I go after deer. The 30.06 I am happy with and I've had the gun for a long time. The 7mm on the other hand just might get a permanent spot in the safe I'm thinking about replacing it with something else just haven't decided what to get yet. |

| I use a .338 win mag for most of my bear moose and elk encounters, and I use my 30 06 or 22-250 for deer and wolves. |

 | try a 308. deadly accurate with 168 grain a max ammo.but the bullet is heavy and needs a barrel twist of at least 1 in 9.savage sells a heavy barrelled tactical rifle for less than 400 dollars.i use this rifle for hunting and at the range and mounted with a burriss scope.....for around 400 dollars i punch paper out to 600 yards. |
