Default Albino Deer

Is it legal to kill an albino deer in your location?

If given the chance would you kill an albino deer?

I'm not sure if it is legal in Utah. To tell you the truth I've never even heard of an albino deer in Utah but I'm sure they exist. If I came across one while deer hunting I would consider the size of the deer first and who knows maybe I would shoot it, but now that you asked that question I'm curious to find out if it is legal or not. I know I would definately shoot it with my camera at least.

There have been quite a few albino deer killed here in the past, but I haven't heard of many albino kills within the past two years around here.

My brother killed an albino deer a few years ago and had it mounted. I'll see if I can find some of the pictures of it and post them.

They are basically pure white deer which is not to common and they are a bit rare and sort of like the misfit in the deer world. The coloration of them is caused from the lack of a gene that produces the color for skin and such.

I don't think that protecting them from hunting would cause the population of them to become any greater.

Well hunting is probably illegal in most places when you don't have the proper licenses and permits and such. I think that there is actually quite a bit of legal hunting in Australia, you just need the proper permits and licenses and all that good stuff. I know there's many hunting guides, and safaris and things like that you go on so it can't be downright illegal in Australia.

I don't believe it's illegal here. I have about 2 or 3 albino up the road from where I live. A nice 15 point buck. I've only saw him twice over the past 3 years. Sure would be nice to bag him.
