Default Nuisance beaver

I have a family of beavers that took it upon themselves to build a dam in a drainage ditch on my deer hunting property. Needless to say they have flooded three of the four fields I use for deer hunting. I don't want to kill the beavers if I don't have to. I would rather relocate them hence my question: What would be the way to do this? Is there one kind of trap better than another for this? Is there any special considerations for live traps?
I have never hunted, trapped, or had anything to do with Beavers before so I'm new. Any you old hounds out there got any ideas?

the best thing i've found to use is a 22 long rifle.i know you don't want to kill them but they are hard to stop.we had a problem on our land and we had to get a permit from the game warden to kill them off day or night

here in evans county georgia we have a bounty on beavers. the county will pay you 20.00 for every beaver tail you bring in. our dnr will trap and relocate the beaver for you here. or like the man said a 22 magnum will do the job, just keep in mind that shooting a beaver in the water is dangerous because the bullets skip across the water when angled just right.and if you trap one in a live trap let me tell you from experience....if you think a wounded hog is bad ...you aint seen nothing compared to a pissed of beaver. he can put up one heck of a fight.
