Post Michigan: DNR Encourages Donation to Sportsmen Against Hunger Fund When Purchasing 2006 Hunting Licenses


The Michigan Department of Natural Resources, through its licensing agents, will collect monetary donations from hunters beginning Jan. 1, 2006, for the Sportsmen Against Hunger Fund. The fund was established by the Legislature in September for the costs associated with hiring a nonprofit organization to collect, process and distribute donated wild game to food banks, soup kitchens and other charities.
